Hillary trained in the Meisner technique at the William Esper Studio under Suzanne Esper, following earlier study at the University of Southern Maine, where she trained and assisted under Emmanuelle Chaulet. Her continued training includes Advanced Scene Study with Peter Jensen (T. Schreiber Studio), On-Camera Technique with Bradley Calacaterra and Improv with Jeff Hiller (UCB).

Her work includes Border Line, a short film she wrote, produced and starred in, which was nominated for Best Drama at the Atlanta Women’s Film Festival, as well as other short films and independent features that have screened at festivals including LALIFF. Her directorial debut, Linnea, is a short-form work with a feature-length version currently in development. She frequently collaborates with independent filmmakers and also writes and directs her own projects.
