Hillary trained in the Meisner technique at the William Esper Studio under Suzanne Esper, following earlier study at the University of Southern Maine, where she trained and assisted under Emmanuelle Chaulet. Her continued training includes Advanced Scene Study with Peter Jensen and On-Camera with Tommy Buck (T. Schreiber Studio), as well as Improv with Jeff Hiller (UCB).

Her work includes Border Line, a short film she wrote, produced and starred in, which was nominated for Best Drama at the Atlanta Women’s Film Festival. Her most recent short film, Linnea, marks her directorial debut. She frequently collaborates with independent filmmakers and continues to write and direct her own projects.
